From the Owner:
While working for other painting companies, I saw a lot of need for improvement. There was often a lack of professionalism and corners being cut. That was hard for me to do. I think little things like not playing loud music, wearing shoe covers inside a home, showing up on time, vacuuming rooms after painting… goes a long way. A lot of prep work was rushed too. I am very meticulous when it comes to the proper prep, scraping, sanding, caulking… Little details like using the right masking tape so paint doesn’t bleed through is important to me. I also like to cover everything rather than risk over-spraying roofs, fences, or the foundation of a home. Using the right primer, paint, or stain is a big deal. Applying the right amount of coats will also make a huge difference in how long a job will last. A lot of companies applied one coat if they could get away with it and called it “full coverage.” I noticed that using the best paint and applying two heavy coats lasted about 5 times longer than one coat of a medium grade paint. The same goes for stain.
I also noticed that painting contractors were not really investigating what problems a home was experiencing and why. It’s better to know the problem in order to find the best solution. Some homes had sprinkler heads that were spraying on the walls and fence. Others needed a gutter or metal flashing repairs. A lot of homes had mold or mildew issues, warping, or rotting boards. I became an expert at figuring out why areas are failing and how to prevent this in the future.
Since repeat business is the best business, I dedicated my craft to using the best products and applying them properly. My focus is elevating homes with an outstanding job that is built to last. Nothing makes me happier than a satisfied customer that gives us their repeat business.
Our Team:
Over the years I have learned that having the right employees is the only way to consistently provide a professional service. When it comes to hiring someone, I am just as meticulous as my workmanship. I don’t want an employee that I wouldn’t trust with the keys to my home, let alone a customer’s home. I have a small team of highly trained painters that have been working side by side with me for many years. They are paid hourly and not by the job (piece rate). They have no need to rush things or cut corners.
